Today we want to share how we’ve been weaving a beautiful network of regenerative projects across Ibero-America, what the regenerative governance platform we’re building is all about and, above all, the story that excites us most —because it confirms and reaffirms why we do what we do—: one of the Network’s nodes, Acción Ambiental, has just entered its first collective-funding process to expand its work.
Let’s start at the beginning: the Mycelium Network
In early 2026, NetX Gen launched a node onboarding process: we invited regenerative projects from across Ibero-America to step into the world of Web3 in general, and of regenerative finance in particular.
Out of that process, the Mycelium Network was born: a living community, articulated today through a WhatsApp group, where representatives of more than 64 regenerative projects already take part. Projects and organizations that, in their bioregions, restore soils, protect watersheds, produce food, offer courses, consulting and hosting spaces; in short, that are already regenerating their communities.
In this first phase, we began by sharing knowledge about regenerative finance with the network: how it works, where the opportunities are and how to access them. Because knowledge, like mycelium, spreads beneath the visible surface —and at some point it fruits—. We just have to stay alert and connected to make the most of it. If you’d like to join, you’ll find how at the end of this note!
What we’re gestating: a Regenerative Governance Platform
The seed was planted at the prototyping session in Ipê City (Florianópolis), it was nourished at Edge City Patagonia and at Devconnect Buenos Aires, and it finally sprouted with the onboarding course that gave rise to the Mycelium Network. From that whole journey, one conviction became clear: there’s no need to invent anything from scratch. Plenty of tools already exist —in Web3, regenerative finance, impact measurement and AI— that we’ve been exploring and that can be integrated into a single common layer. That’s what we’re building: a regenerative governance platform that works as an emergent operating system to facilitate and accelerate the transition toward a regenerative network-civilization.
The idea, in a few words, is simple. Each person enters as a citizen of this new civilization and defines who they are and what they can contribute: time, action, capital and knowledge. Each project creates its node and, with the help of an artificial intelligence agent, VenusIA OS, builds its baseline —its regenerative infrastructure and its community—. And as nodes join, the added value of the whole network is measured automatically and becomes visible to everyone: the foundation for beginning to coordinate, decide and let resources flow in a decentralized and cosmo-local way.
Because that’s what it’s ultimately about: connecting the mycelium so that capital, knowledge and action reach the territory where regeneration is truly happening. And you don’t have to wait until the platform is finished to see it work: just these past days the network bore its first concrete fruit —the best proof of this thesis—, the story of Acción Ambiental and the Ma Earth opportunity.
First fruit: the Ma Earth opportunity
A few weeks ago, a very concrete opportunity appeared: Ma Earth, a crowdfunding platform for community-led regeneration projects, opened its third funding round. The numbers speak for themselves: USD 500,000 in matching funds to distribute among 100 grassroots projects worldwide, selected from hundreds of applications.
From NetX Gen we shared the opportunity with all the nodes of the Mycelium Network and invited them to apply. And we did it with a strategic move: we articulated the submission together with Bloom Network, another global regenerative network whose backing increased the projects’ chances of being selected.
The result: around 10 projects from the Mycelium Network applied, and 2 were selected among the 100 chosen worldwide.
Two Ibero-American projects, emerging from a network less than a year old, collaborating around a shared narrative and getting selected in a global round. For us, this isn’t just good news: it’s the validation of the NetX Gen thesis. Networks work. The mycelium connects. And when it connects, we can make capital flow toward the territory, solving the biggest pain that —according to our pre- and post-onboarding analysis— every regenerative organization and project in the region, and we dare say, in the world, faces: funding.
The beautiful work of Acción Ambiental
Today we focus on one of those two selected projects: Acción Ambiental, a genesis node of the Mycelium Network in Córdoba, Argentina.
Acción Ambiental is a young, grassroots civil-society organization with 7 years of experience in biodiversity conservation, ecological restoration and environmental education. Its project selected by Ma Earth is as concrete as it is strategic: restoring the tabaquillo forests (Polylepis australis) of the Sierras Grandes of Córdoba.
Why does tabaquillo matter? Because those high-altitude forests are natural infrastructure: they capture moisture, favor water infiltration and protect the springs that supply the entire region. Decades of recurring fires and degradation reduced them dramatically, and their natural regeneration is far too slow to reverse the trend.
That’s where Acción Ambiental’s work comes in, with results that impress:
90% survival rate among the tabaquillos planted and monitored —an extremely high number for restoration in high-mountain conditions—.
GETAU, their own environmental traceability platform that geo-references and monitors every planted tree. Restoration that’s measurable and verifiable, not promises.
A native-species nursery in development, with a projected capacity of 20,000 trees per year, to overcome the bottleneck that currently limits the scale of restoration.
Volunteering, environmental education and community as the engine behind all of the above.
In other words: a grassroots project, with territory, with data and with years of proven work. Exactly the kind of project that regenerative finance exists to fund, develop and help replicate.
Now it’s on all of us: every donation counts double
Here comes the part where you come in, where I come in, where all of us Regens of Planet Earth come in.
The Ma Earth campaign works with matching funds: until July 21, every donation Acción Ambiental receives is multiplied with international funds. And through the quadratic funding mechanism, the number of donors matters more than the amount —many small donations unlock more matching than a few large ones—.
In other words: donating USD 5 today is worth more than ever. We’re rewarded for being a community.
This invitation goes out to our whole network: the global ReFi community, the Regens we met at Ipê City (Florianópolis), at Edge City Patagonia, at Devconnect Buenos Aires and at every ecosystem gathering, and everyone reading us on this Substack.
We want this to be a collective success story: a network that weaves itself, a project that emerges from it and a global community that funds it.
